The ankle sprain

The sprain (or strain) is an injury to the ligament (fibrous tissue band) which can result in severe pain. The ligament is then stretched and could, in some cases, be torn (severe sprain) provoking difficulty of walking on the injured foot.
Your podiatrist may suggest certain treatments such as the application of ice, anti-inflammatory creams, analgesic laser treatment, some manipulations using neuro-proprioceptive tapping or rehabilitation exercises.
